...Light Up, As If You Had A Choice...
Esme Anne Cullen was sat in her small office within the Cullen household, sat over her desk looking down at a number of different blue prints and designs. This was something she did in her spare time when her family were busy going about their normal day to day activities. Designing was something she had found a passion for and now here she was today, still designing for their next move. Esme liked to be prepared for any move as well as potential decorating that needed to be done. She was in her normal clothing which consisted of plain black trousers, her heeled boots and a plain blouse and her hair pulled back. It was a rather plain almost boring outfit for a vampire, but it was something she was comfortable in.
Standing up, Esme decided to leave the blue prints for another day. She wanted a change and she thought that she would walk down to her small garden and simply have a change of scenery. Smiling, she grabbed a book she had been reading and made her way to the garden that had brought her peace. Esme had always found it soothingly. Soon she was on the small path, taking her to a bench she had placed, flowers that followed her as she walked, turning their massive, multicolored faces in her direction. It was warmer then usual in Forks, but it was still overcast. Forks was never this warm even in their summer season, though it was a perfectly well suited day for a vampire. Her coat hung loose and worn, covering her marred, pallid skin with practiced ease. Her fingertips danced restlessly over the title of her book, attempting to find a solid place to sit that wouldn’t block her view.
Esme then settled on a simple bench in the shade of a tree, flowers surrounding her, moving towards her by instinct. A faint smile curled her pale pink lips, reaching a hand down to brush a fingertip along a silky petal of a magnolia. She cracked the book, almost towards the end already. Something’s never changed her life, she had a normal childhood growing up where her love for reading had developed and Esme’s love for nature escalated which was why she was sat where she was in this current moment in time. As she read, she started to think about little things from her immortal life. It was not the life she had planned for herself but it would do, her dark brown hair swayed in the wind. Esme had everything she could ever hope for. A loving husband and children, even a grandchild and a great-grand child. The smile stayed upon her lips.
