Sulpicia had time as always sometimes she had to much free time. She was reading a book, but wanted to do something else. She enjoyed reading at times, but it seemed the stories didn't catch her interest. As they once had when she was human or had been first changed. It was written by humans probably one of the problems with it. Sulpicia didn't care for humans at all they were only their to feed on and nothing more. They were sometimes annoying having to be careful around them. Of course any vampires who were not were destroyed. Sulpicia enjoyed having vampires destroyed. She didn't mind seeing others in pain she enjoyed perhaps a bit to much.
Sulpicia got up from her seat placing the book down she needed to get some fresh air. The sun had just set not to long ago it would be safe to not be be noticed. She wouldn't exit the castle, but there were areas that were more open than others. Humans scent was strong in the city as expected, but easy to ignore if one's thirst was satisfied. It hadn't been to long since she had left fed. That didn't mean her throat wasn't burning. There was always a dull ache that could easily be ignored and Sulpicia usually did just that. If she thought about it to much she could easily become even more thirsty not something she wanted.
Sulpicia had noticed a few of the guard members as she passed them, but didn't acknowledge them. She didn't really have any favorites. Her husband did the witch twins were his. She only liked them because of their talent and would good they had done for the Volturi. She suppose if she had favorites it would be the twins, but only because of their talents. There was no other reason. If they could help the Volturi then they were useful if not there was no point in having them. One would have to have some talent to be in the guard. It was something always expected.
Sulpicia sighed as she came stand by one of the open windows. The moon was out and brought some light, but Sulpicia didn't pay that much attention. Nighttime was her favorite, but she wasn't much in the mood to enjoy it. No she hadn't been in a good mood lately for various reasons. Sulpicia thought about going to visit Athenodora, but thought against it. She could stay out here for a little longer.

Sulpicia frowned slightly as she continued to look outside. She was not in a good mood at the moment. It was rare to see her happy or even in a semi good mood. Sulpicia turned her eyes as she heard the approach of someone. The scent right away told her it was Jane before she even saw her. She was bit curious as to what she wanted, but didn't care to much. Sulpicia did not allow others to know much about her and could easily be found with a frown upon her face. There were a few things that did bring a smile to her face, but those could be rare.
"You assumed wrong," Sulpicia replied her voice anything, but friendly. Sulpicia would have loved to be with Aro, but at the moment he was with his brothers. There was no telling how long that would last and it was best to distract herself for a little while. Sulpicia could be cruel if she chose to be, but Jane usually tried to be kind or at least an attempt. Sulpicia was not known to be nice or friendly. She could if she chose to be, but where would the fun be in that? It was not who Sulpicia was and could be cruel and harsh if someone irritated her enough. But the guard knew better than to annoy her it was something one should avoid.
"Wasting time I suppose," Sulpicia replied. Sulpicia suppose that's what she was doing she didn't really have anything to do at the moment. She had thought to visiting her cousin, Athenodora, again but had thought against it. Alone time was nice now and then, but it didn't seem she was going to get that right now. Not that she minded it to much she sometimes had to much time on her hands as always. It was just apart of being immortal one had all the time they would ever need. There was much she could be doing besides looking outside.
"Was there something you wanted Jane?" Sulpicia questioned. If there was something she had wanted to tell her Sulpicia wanted to know. Then again she could be attempting to be nice as she so often did. Sulpicia didn't have a problem with Jane she was useful. Jane and Alec were Aro's favorite guard. Sulpicia liked them as well their talents helped them much. Talents was important within the Volturi guard. Only those with the most powerful talents are allowed within the guard. Usually that was the only reason Sulpicia liked the Guard because of their talent.

Sulpicia didn't say anything in response to Jane. She had been aware that they were probably having some sort of meeting or busy doing something. Aro had much to do this she understood, but was it really that much to have some time with her husband? At times the answer seemed to be 'yes' and it upset her greatly. She knew Aro loved her, but it seemed she could doubt that so easily. Sulpicia watched as Jane smiled innocently. She was well aware how innocent Jane could look and act it annoyed her at times. Particularly when it was directed at her. It wasn't something to get to upset about after all she had seen it countless times. It was simply Jane confirmed they had a meeting and Aro seen to other matters before seeing her. She had become use to such things and it seemed to rare to see her husband. It might not have been all that long since she had seen Aro, but it certainly seemed that way.
"I'm certain you know as well as I do that everything has been busy, as always." It seemed there was always something going on some sort of plan, recruiting, or something. Sulpicia was use to how busy everything could be in Volterra. There were not many changes that happen other than others joining the guard. Something Sulpicia didn't care for. She of course wanted to know who all the guards were what their talents were. What possible advantage they could give them. It was important that the Volturi remained powerful and had nothing less than the most valuable guard members. There was never a dull moment for the guard it seemed, but for Sulpicia is was rather different.
Sulpicia always found something to do it could vary from spending time with her cousin, Athenodora, to simply reading a book. She rarely left the castle and even rarer left Volterra only if it was of extreme importance. "Do you really?" Sulpicia questioned doubting Jane knew how boring it could really be. She was apart of the guard there was always something she could be doing, always important, far different Sulpicia. "I seem to have real doubts about that." Even though they were in the same coven their lives were much different. Sulpicia didn't dwell on such things often, but it still remained true.

Sulpicia narrowed her eyes at Jane. Despite how useful and talented she may be it didn't mean she liked her personally. She liked her for her talent and nothing more. Jane and Alec were probably the most valuable talents the Volturi had. The guard were always doing something and always had been for centuries before this Jane had even became a vampire. It wasn't going to change. Sulpicia always let the guard do what they needed, what Aro, Caius, and Marcus ordered. Of course they were recruiting or hunting they always were. They were always doing something. Something that would make the Volturi that much more powerful. Sulpicia did not see the need to change what she did. She could help, maybe, if she wanted.
"The guard are always doing something. Whether I was to help or not it won't change a thing." Sulpicia said icily. She was not particularly fond of people telling her what she should or should not do. And not from a guard member. Jane wasn't exactly telling her what to do just merely mention it. It didn't set well with Sulpicia. She did not do anything she did not want to do. She never had and never will. There are a few exceptions Aro, Athenodora, and the other leaders she may do something for. Never for a guard member. Particularly a guard member that didn't always get along with her.
Sulpicia watched Jane as she looked back at her. Sulpicia didn't care what reason the guard had for keeping busy. She suppose keeping busy was much better than being bored. There certainly wasn't much Sulpicia could do about being bored. She could usually be found with her cousin. Time did pass faster when she spent time with Athenodora. She was probably the closest person to Sulpicia. They had each other and understood each other. They were both in a similar situation. It was expected they would become friends after so many centuries of having to be together. Both Aro and Caius were often busy. Sulpicia did not really like, but had to adjust to.

[[sorry for delay. I've just started college and haven't had much time to get on.]]
Sulpicia narrowed her eyes a Jane. Her statement could remain as a thought. Everything had remained the same for centuries. Sulpicia saw no point in changing. If the guard were unable to complete their job they wouldn't be in the guard. They would succeed without her. Even Sulpicia was bored she always found something of intrest. Whether that was simply being with her cousin or reading something to do. As well as something to let her not focus to much on unwanted thoughts. Where Aro is what he is doing. She always knew those answers. With his brothers or simply by himself planning on power. Doing something always related with power.
Sulpicia looked at Jane as she said she was use to boredom. That may have some truth. Sulpicia coudln't deny there was often times when she was bored, but she usually found something to do or something to think about. Being around as long as Sulpicia one had done everything. Boredom was sure to find her eventually. And it did quiet often, but she always reversed that. Usually she spent time with her cousin. She was cloest with her cousin than anyone else here. Most certainly more than Jane. Jane was starting to annoy her slightly, but that was expected. They didn't get along that well. Sulpicia only liked her because of her talent. There was no other reason.
Change was hard for a vampire. She was certain this was true for everyone. "Change is difficult for everyone." Sulpicia replied her tone as it often was, was cold. Sulpicia knew change was rare for vampires and it could be difficult to deal with it. She didn't want Jane telling her to deal with it. She would handle it just as everyone else she didn't like being told what to do.
