It was yet another one of those nights. The air was clean, no sign of anyone around. Edward smiled as he rolled up the window of his silver Volvo, before shifting his car into park. His hand was still on the shift, and the radio was still playing his favorite songs. A smirk crossed his face before the radio turned to another song. The next song was not one he was familiar with, so he sat there listening to the new lyrics and melody that caressed his ears. As the song continued, he peered out the clear window of his car; looking for that special someone to appear. He tapped the edges of the window in anticipation...he could not wait for her to arrive.
Edward was not the person to sit around and wait for something he had been waiting for; well, for his entire life. It was true, Bella was the single greatest thing in his life right now. The windshield on his car was showing signs of rain. He smiled again at the sight of the droplets hitting the glass before his eyes. Again he was lost in his own thoughts, as this had been happening for a few days now.
He quickly removed his hand from the shift, and removed the key from the ignition. The lights flicked off before the vast numbers of trees standing before him in the darkness. His hand then moved from the key, to the silver metal handle on the door. With one motion, he pushed the door open and swung his long body around on the seat. His feet were sitting outside the car, then he stood up, closed the door, and locked the car with his key. The night was clearly perfect. No one or thing was around to ruin what he had in store for the love of his life. A light breeze was blowing through his messy bronze hair, thank goodness he had his jacket. Although, being a vampire he really didn't need it.
After placing his keys into his jacket pocket, Edward walked a few feet away from his car and sat down on the cool grass.
