Jason walked down the halls of Forks High. He was yet again bored. Nothing in this town could keep his attention long. He wished like always that something interesting would happen in this lazy wet town. It was raining like a lot of days. He sighed just the perfect weather to go with his mood.
Most of the students here didn't care about how they were going to live out their lives. They only cared about how they were going to spend today. Jason wished he had someone to talk to. He didn't socalize outside of his family much. He sighed as he got to his locker.
He opened it up and put some books in. He got out his biology book and headed to the classroom. He passed some human boys that looked like Freshman. They were tyring to see who was stronger by hitting the other person. Stupid humans he thought.
He finally made it to his biology class. He sat down in his seat. He flipped thorough his book as he waited for class to start. He tried not to breathe as the smell from the humans blood was kinda getting to him. He would of course have to go hunting again. He wondered if he should tell his family about the two humans he accedently killed four days ago. Maybe that wouldn't think he was weak at this. He only been at it for like what two weeks. He was still considered a newborn after all.

Heidi walked, well more like stumbled, into Biology just as the bell rang. Her teacher gave her a treacherous stare, but Heidi gave him one of her award winning smiles, and he seemed to melt just a little. She tried not to giggle as she worked her way to the back of the room. She slid into her seat next to her cousin. This was one of the few classes Heidi actually had with her extended family, so it was one of her favorites. But one look at Jason, and she knew something was up. Her smile slipped from her face as the teacher got up and started lecturing about the anatomy of a clam, which they were to dissect the next day.
Lately Jason hadn’t seemed to be the happiest person to be around. Something was up, and Heidi was bound and determined to figure out what. Jason was the newest member of the Cullen family, and of course had the hardest time with the diet. Though Heidi herself didn’t really know how this felt, for she ate normal, human food, she still felt sorry for him. It was miraculous that he could even be so close to humans this early in his vampire life. He had a lot of will power.
Jason and Heidi were close, closer than normal cousins, but when you were part of the supernatural, it was bound to bring you closer. So she quietly pulled out a sheet of notebook paper and a pen. She scribbled quickly in her elegant handwriting:
Jason? What’s wrong? Don’t even try to deny it, something is wrong.
She folded it quickly into a neat little triangle, and then tossed it lightly onto his desk. She then turned her attention to the front of the room. Well, her body anyway, she was using her peripheral vision to make sure he had seen it.

Jason was flipping through his book when a familar scent came into the room. He looked up and saw his cousin Heidi Black. She was the daughter of his cousin Nessie and Jacob. Jason thought that Jacob acted a little immature at times but so did his Uncle Emmett. He watched as she walked and sat down beside him. This was the only class that he and Heidi had together and they were the only ones here from the family.
Jason watched her and looked at the board. The teacher was going on about Mitosis. Jason had heard about this at his last school. He sighed since he already knew about Mitosis. 'God this school is behind' he thought. He started to make his pen move up a little by itself. Jason loved his gift. It was pretty cool to be able to move objects with the mind.
He saw Heidi take out a piece of paper. He watched as she started writing the pen falling to the desk with his lack of concentration. He started to wonder what she was writing. He thought at first that she might be taking notes but seeing as how she wasn't drawing anything that theory was shot out of the water. He watced her fold the piece of paper into a little triangle and knew exactly what it was. Jason caught the note even before it hit his desk. He opened it and read what it said. Jason? Whats wrong? Dont even try to deny it something is wrong
Jason sighed. 'Why do family members know when something is wrong' he thought. He started to write back in his mess a handwriting. Nothing really. Just having a hard time dealing with some stuff. He folded the not back into the little triangle and thew it onto Heidis desk. He sighed as he started to flip through his book again. His thrist was getting worse. This shouldn't be happening since he had went hunting yesterday. He should be fine. He always was fine.

Heidi’s face was crumpled into concentration as she tried to pay attention to Mitosis. Unlike most of the family, this was her first time through school and she actually had to try. But it was a little hard when she could see Jason’s troubled expression. He scrawled something quickly on the page beneath her accusation.
She watched as he carefully folded the note back to the same shape she had and tossed it at her desk. She tried to be cool like Jason and catch it mid toss, but it didn’t work. It flicked off her fingers and under the desk in front of her. She cringed. Ms. Goody-two-shoes sat in front of her, and Heidi knew she would be no help in retrieving the little piece of paper. She would probably show the teacher the moment she saw it. Holding in a groan, Heidi stretched her foot out and had to point her toe so she could reach the paper. She slid it closer with her flip flopped foot. Once it was within reach, she quickly snatched it up and then looked up to see if anyone noticed. They hadn’t. One of the best things about sitting in the last row.
Heidi quickly unfolded the paper to see what her cousin had written:
Nothing really. Just having a hard time dealing with some stuff.
That’s all he put. Heidi looked over at him and gave him a quizzical look. Something was definitely up. She picked her pen back up and started writing:
Oh ya? What kind of stuff?
She was prying. She knew it. But truthfully, she didn’t really care. Jason was one of the few people she felt like she could truly talk to at this school, and she didn’t want anything to happen to him. Besides, he was family.

Jason wished that the class was over. It was his last class. He would be able to go home and hunt. He wondered if his dad or even his mother would like to go. He started to tap his fingers on his desk. It wasn't loud enough to be disruptful.
He watched Heidi after he threw the note to her as she tried to catch it like he did. When it went flying he hid a laugh. Jason saw here tryin gto get it. He was about to use his gift to make the paper come to her when she actually got it. He rolled his eyes and waited for her reply. He knew that she would pry. She was of course related to Nessie.
He tried his best to smile at her when she gave him a quizzical look. When he got the note he read 'Oh ya? What kind of stuff?' He rolled his eyes. He knew it she was going to pry. Im really really thirsty at the moment. He knew that Heidi would know what it meant but if anyone else outside his family read it they would just think that he needed some water. He smiled at how that was not so. He folded the note back up and sat it on the ground. Looking around to see if anyone was looking and when the coast was clear he sent the note over to Heidi by letting the note float an inch or so off the gound. He smiled as the note set down beside her desk.

Heidi’s concern seemed to amuse Jason, for when he read what she wrote, he rolled his eyes. Did no one ever take her serious? She would forever be the baby of the family. Which was kind of ironic, considering she would soon enough be older than all of them. Well in appearance anyway. Stupid immortal vampires.
She watched him write something down and set it on the ground. Using his ever so ‘special’ gift, Jason raised it up so it set neatly on the side of her desk. She grabbed it roughly and gave him a warning look. Not that any of these oblivious humans would see it, but you never know. Okay, so Heidi might have been slightly jealous of the unique power. It WOULD be convenient.
She pulled apart the note to read:
Im really really thirsty at the moment.
Heidi grimaced and looked up at the young vampire. He didn’t really LOOK thirst. But that was a good thing right? Hide it from the humans. She couldn’t really empathize. When Heidi was thirsty, she got a drink of water.
Well I think I saw a cute little innocent squirrel in the parking lot. He might hold you over.
Heidi joked, for she wasn’t really sure what else to say. She grew up with blood suckers, but for some reason it still made her a little uncomfortable, but she hid it well. At least they only drank the blood of animals.

Jason flipped through his book. He had already read the damn thing so many times already. He alwasy read his books when he was this thirsty. Being a vamp for two weeks wasn't very good to go to school with humans. Jason wanted to go and get through it. He had to.
He smiled when he saw her warning look. Heidi could always make him laugh. He watched her read the note. He saw her grimaced and look at him. His eyes were coal black instead of their usual honey colored. His eyes and never been the newborn red. Why he had no idea. His grandfather found it intriguing and would try to find a reason why.
He got the note from her when she gave it to him. He looked at it and smiled. Of course she would be joking. He picked up his pen and wrote That little thing sure would not help right now. That is how thirsty I am. Its killing me being in this room right now. Too many of them. He sent the note back to her and sighed. He wished he could have skiped today.

Heidi could sense someones eyes on her, and a slight chill ran up her spine. She hated the feeling of being watched. When you were surrounded by the supernatural, you learned to always be on your guard. Looking around, Heidi found her audience. It was the cute boy that was two lockers down from her. When she noticed him, he gave her a big smile. Heidi couldn’t help out, she let out a little giggle. Human boys were just so amusing to her. She didn’t REALLY like any of them, they were just highly entertaining.
To busy to notice Jason put it there, when Heidi turned she found his note, sitting in its perfect triangle on the side of her desk. She scooped it up and read:
That little thing sure would not help right now. That is how thirsty I am. It’s killing me being in this room right now. Too many of them.
Heidi’s giddiness from her flirting disappeared. She looked at Jason concerned, trying to figure out what to do. He just kind of dismissed her joke. She wasn’t always the best with this kind of thing. After sitting in thought for about a minute, Heidi picked back up her pen and started writing:
Do you want to skip?
The other Cullen’s have done it, and they would understand if Jason had to too. It was only third period, but what did it matter? Jason was going to go back to high school a gazillion more times. Skipping today wouldn’t be the end of the world. Heidi on the other hand only had one chance at her high school career, but she would skip with him anyway, if he needed a companion.

Jason put his head down. This was getting harder and harder. He was going to have to skip. He just couldn't take it anymore. He wished like crazy that he could stay. He wondered what his family would think. They all thought that he was doing so well. Boy were they wrong. Jason had already had two humans in only two weeks. He sighed.
He watcehd as Heidi flirted with a guy. He laughed to himself. Girls were always so amusing sometimes. He set his head back down on his desk. He didn't care if the teacher got mad. Jason could not help feeling a little weak at the moment.
He looked at her note and sighed. She could always read his mind. That was one of the reasons why they were so close. Jason nodded not looking in Heidis direction and wrote Yes Please. You can stay if yew want. If you want to come then that is cool also. I can tell you what the teacher is talking about later if you want to skip with me.[/font] He gave her the note and asked the teacher if he could be excused as he needed to go to the nurse for not feeling so well. He walked out and waited to see if Heidi would come.

Heidi waited ever so patiently for Jason’s reply, and when she saw it land softly on her desk, she scooped it up and read it quickly as Jason got out of his desk:
Yes Please. You can stay if you want. If you want to come then that is cool also. I can tell you what the teacher is talking about later if you want to skip with me. Heidi looked back up to watch Jason talk to the teacher. It came back to Heidi a little muttered but she got the just of it. The nurse was his excuse. Once Jason was safely out the door Heidi got out of her seat. Of course she was going to skip with him. Heidi would use any excuse to get out of school. Classes were just so boring. Sure she really should try to learn as much as she can, considering the whole she-doesn’t-know-how-long-she’ll-live thing. But to be quite frank, she was getting tired of that. Maybe she didn’t want to be a good girl! She wanted to do something bad for once. And skipping with Jason hardly counted. She was just giving him some company.
After explaining to the teacher that she was going to go check on Jason, Heidi slipped through the door to find him standing in the hall, waiting for her. Heidi smiled and said “Come on!” In a loud whisper and grinned before walking quickly through the hall, looking around as if they were going to get caught at any moment. It really was a good thing that Heidi didn’t smell like a normal human. The vampire in her kept her from smelling like food for the vampires. This way she wasn’t causing Jason any extra displeasure.

Jason stayed outside waiting for Heidi. When she finally came out he smiled and started walking as quickly as possible to the nearest exit. "Where do you want to go" he asked. As long as he was away from humans he would be okay. He wondered where she wanted to go.
He turned around so he was walking backwords. This drove Heidi nuts since he wasn't looking where he was going. "Lets go somewhere where their is no humans." He looked at Heidi and thought how glad he was that she was half vampire. Of course he didn't like that her father was a wolf but what could he do about it.
He turned around right when they got outside. He smiled as he smelled the fresh air. No humans outside at the moment which made Jason fell better. He turend around and started to walk backwards. "So what do you want to do Heidi." He was smiling at her in his haha im annoying you smile. All the Cullen males had it cause they all annoyed everyone and had a good time doing it. Except for Carlisle. Carlisle never tried to get on anyones nerves.

As Heidi hurried down the hall, Jason took around her and started walking backwards, without the need to look where he was going. Heidi rolled her eyes and crossed her arms across her chest. Boys.
"Lets go somewhere where their is no humans." Jason suggested. Heidi snorted. That was an obvious one right? That was the whole POINT. Jason turned back around just in time to push the door open. Once they were outside in the rainy atmosphere, he turned back around and started taunting her with his coordination. Heidi gave him her best pouting face as he said "So what do you want to do Heidi."
“I don’t know.” She said, “ but I would prefer you didn’t flaunt your coordination. We both know I could never do that” She gestured at his easily flowing feet as he smiled at her in his taunting, annoying way.
“How badly do you need to hunt?” She asked him cautiously, sure she didn’t smell, but there WAS some blood running through her veins, “Can you hold off for a trip to the mall?” She had to work hard to control her voice. Shopping was Heidi’s passion, and she had noticed that the shirt Jason was wearing today had been worn at least three times before. THREE. His wardrobe needed some serious bulking up. But then it dawned on her. Humans went to the mall. Her face fell, “we can’t go there.” She muttered, gloom coating her words.
“We could just go for a walk in the woods.” She suggested dully. It wasn’t exactly her idea of fun, but there really wasn’t too many options.

He smiled as she snorted. He kept walking having no idea where he was going. He laughed when he saw her make her pout face. "Aw come on Heidi." He grinned as she talked. "You could do this if you practiced. I could do this before you know what happened." He didn't want to say before I became a vampire in case a human was near.
"If you can wait one moment I can go and get an elk real quick. Then we can go to the mall and you buy anything you want." He wondered why she kept looking at his shirt. He knew Heidi was kinda like his mother. So maybe it was because he had worn this shirt at least three times already. Once last week and twice this week. Jason didn't have many clothes. He had a few and had given the rest that his mother had bought him to the some needy families.
"So hang on" he said then took off. He ran through the woods and found an elk. It was a big one. Jason thought how this would do nicely so he crouched down and pounced on it. He drained the blood and took the time to bury the animal. He had a spot of blood of his shirt and his shirt was dirty with the dirt from the hole he dug for the animal. He walked back to Heidi and smiled. "Okay im good." He didn't want to go back to the school. There were more humans than at the mall right now. "Lets go to the mall so you can shop. I will even pay for everything."
