Night had started to settle on Forks as humans willingly went to their evening activities and didn't know what hunted trough the woods at night. Animals scurried in their hiding places from the eerie silence that evaporated the forest, nothing stirred and nothing moved. Well of course there were somethings that were out at night that couldn't be heard. Renesmee moved swiftly through the forest, dodging trees and jumping off roots that bulged out of the ground, her chocolate eyes were focused on their house not to far off. Nessie lived in a small house just for her, Jacob and Heidi to stay, it felt relaxing to have a house to themselves, to get away from the constant commotion that began at the Cullen household. The two story house came into view and she relaxed a little as she slowed her pace down with a power walk. She didn't see any lights on in the house and disappointment washed over her.
She approached the door and inserted the key into the keyhole, she heard the bolts unlatch as she quickly turned the knob and scurried in. She closed the door behind her and flicked the light on. She gazed around the living room and saw no activity. She sighed as she dropped her keys on the table and went to the kitchen. She grabbed a glass and poured some water in it. Taking small sips she gurgled the water spit it out, getting rid of the some leftover blood she had in her mouth. She leaned quietly against the counter and sighed again. Heidi was probably out with her new friends and Jacob was most likely out patrolling. She couldn't help but feel loneliness settle over her, but she just shook it off and continued to stare blankly ahead.

Friday night. Heidi felt it was highly overrated. It was like if you didn’t spend that night with friends, you were automatically a loser. Well what if she didn’t WANT to leave the house? What if she just wanted to curl up with a good book and enjoy the fact that she didn’t have to go to school again until Monday? Well then, you just weren’t cool. Heidi didn’t want to be considered ‘uncool’. Why she cared? She didn’t want to miss any part of her short life. Well, she could live a long and happy life, but in comparison with the rest of her families life, it was very short. So grudgingly she had put on a new cute outfit, did her hair in big looping curls and applied more than enough makeup.
Where would they go? Heidi wasn’t sure, and honestly wasn’t all that worried about it. It was always the same. There was nothing to do in a small town like Forks. They would sit around at someones house and complain about how there was never anything to do. But if you didn’t go to one of these stupid ‘parties’…. Hearing a car pulling into her driveway, Heidi sighed and padded carefully down the stairs in her high heels and out the door. One of her friends were waiting in there broken down chevy, and she opened the passenger side door and slid in, quite ungracefully. They both started to chat easily as she pulled out and headed down the street.
Five long hours later, Heidi was walking back up her sidewalk. Though tonight had been slightly more entertaining, she still was glad to be home. One of the guys had nicked a case of beer, so everyone played drinking games, and enjoyed the buzz it gave them. Heidi hadn’t tried any. It wasn’t that she was trying to be a good person or anything, she just wasn’t sure what it would do to her, she didn’t want to risk it, being close to so many humans. That was one thing about being such a unique creature, she had no one she could compare herself, everything she did was a first.
When Heidi pushed open the door she saw her mother leaning against the sink, staring into space. Heidi laughed quietly. Heidi’s mother still had the appearance of an eighteen year old, and looked more like her sister than her mother. This used to bother Heidi, like when she had friends over, and she found the guys drooling over her mother. Her MOTHER. Of course she had to pretend it was her sister now, since they appeared so close in age. But still, Heidi knew. But she has long since gotten over that fact, and that was mostly to do with there newly formed friendship.
Heidi had had a couple of rebellious years, and her mother had been forced to set down some laws. They had a very rough relationship. But now that Heidi has started taking a better path, her mother has no reason to punish her, and they have slowly found that they are very much a like. Well, Renesmee probably knew that all along, but Heidi hadn’t. Since they both are like teenagers, they can talk about teenage things. They do each others nails, and Heidi tells her about her newest crushes from school. Its all very hallmark card like.
Dropping her purse on the first step, Heidi walked over to the refrigerator and opened it, searching around in it until she found what she wanted. She pulled the bottle of water out, and opening it, took a long swallow. She glanced into the sink and saw the slightest tint of red, that probably a human eye couldn’t even see.
“How was your hunt?” She asked her mother.

Renesmee tore her attention away from her thoughts and noticed the door open, she knew who it was, the scent was so strong it about knocked Nessie right off her feet. She set the glass in the sink and watched as Heidi came in and shuffled through the refrigerator. Renesmee wasn't to fond on human food, but the fridge and the pantry kept well stocked since she had a teenager and werewolf in the house. Renesmee loves to cook dinner and lunch for her family, and it's makes her happy when they devour it before her eyes. She got off the counter and cleared her throat when Heidi asked her how her hunt went. Nessie just shrugged her shoulders and smiled at Heidi, It was like most hunts, boring and long. she sighed and observed Heidi, she was wearing her usual apparel for when she goes out, To Nessie's guessing it was a party.
Renesmee was a rebellious child when she was going through her teenage years, she would escape Edward and Bella's watchful eye and went to the parties with her friends and at night, she would occasionally sneak out to go star gazing with Jacob. She was pretty sure her family knew about it, but they didn't care, but daddy did. Edward was always picky on her seeing Jacob, since those two aren't the best of friends. But Bella would convince him otherwise, and usually her mother could make him do anything.
Nessie noticed Heidi had changed her hair color again, it was now a bleach blond. She really didn't mind her daughter changing hair color, it was better than when she had it black as could be. That was when Heidi went through her rebellious state, which Nessie is pretty sure she is out of. How was the party? she questioned and started to wash the dishes and stick them in the dishwasher.

Heidi took another long swig of water. When you are watching everyone around you drinking, it makes you a little thirsty yourself. If not for alcohol, anything. "It was like most hunts, boring and long." Heidi's mother told her. Heidi just shook her head. Only her mother would find taking down a full grown mountain lion 'boring'.
"How was the party?" Renesmee asked with mild curiosity. Heidi grinned and said, "It was like most parties, boring and long" micking her mother. Laughing slightly, Heidi sat down at the table and pulled off her strappy high heels, and stretched her toes, trying to release the mild tension.
Heidi wasn't even really sure why she dressed up the way she did. Who was she trying to impress anyway? She didn't really care what her 'friends' thought anyway. That was the thing about being in the 'popular' crowd, you didn't really have any friends. Just allies in the horrible game of high school. But they can turn on you, as soon as they find someone who can better benefit themselves. Heidi had few true friends. She knew there were people at her school who werent so flacky, but she liked looking cool. She loved it when guys stared at her like a piece of meat, and girls gave her an envious, jealous look. It made her feel important. But who knew how long she had to live? Shouldn't she be making the right choice all the time? But what is the right choice! Just today one of the few friends she thought was actually her friend was telling all the guys she was easy, and thought it was funny when they all kept approaching her with there beer breath and fumbling hands.
"Mommy," Heidi said. She rarely called her mother mommy but this was a special occasion. "I don't know what to do. I don't like hanging ou with my own friends. Is there something wrong with me?"
