Sunnydale, California… it no longer existed. The potentials seemed numberless and much of what Buffy and her friends all held dear no longer existed. Where would they go from there? It was heartwrenching and for a moment all hope seemed gone. However, the slayer in her efforts the past seven years had not been forgotten. It was time for new beginning and Buffy Summers was about to be given a blessing.
Buffy Summers was given one-life altering wish that could change everything that had passed. She was given a chance to free herself and her friends; a chance to undo what all had been done. At first she paced and pondered what she could do and one of her biggest considerations was to permanently restore Angel his soul, but while that would be selfless at the same time it would be selfish on her part, she had to think of everyone and her attention was drawn to her best friend, the one girl who had been there for her through everything: Willow Rosenberg.
Buffy selflessly gave up her chance to be with Angel to see Willow truly happy again, by using her life-altering wish to bring back the one person who made Willow the happiest and was unjustly lost: Tara Maclay.
Her selflessness was noticed and her life-altering wish would be granted. When Buffy closed her eyes she woke up the next morning to a familiar setting, almost a memory. She was back to May 7th, 2002, the date of Tara’s death. The slayer and all her friends were getting a second chance. Everything could be changed, new friends could be made and souls could be saved. The heavens had intervened and Buffy blessed with some knowledge beyond her time would help to shape the time here with her friends as to not lead it to complete destruction.
